A Christian Scientist
(The content of this page does not reflect an opinion of UC, UCD, or the departments.)

1 Corinthians: “For in him you have been enriched in every way — in all your speaking and in all your knowledge — because our testimony about Christ was confirmed in you.“
Thanks for reading this. I hope this will enlighten you and bring you a happiness you have never enjoyed before. I’m not forcing anyone in my group or in the surroundings to become a Christian, believe in God, or anything like this. I respect everyone's opinion and don't force my faith. But what I feel I need to do is to give here my testimonial of what God has done in my life. And maybe this will speak to you that don't believe, and fill the emptiness I once had as well.
Everything I have I must thank God for. My beautiful family as the greatest blessing, and my professional life as a gift. I’m a young scientist that became a Professor at UC Davis when I was 29 years old. I got tenured after only 3 years at UC Davis, considered by many quite an accomplishment. Got several awards and grants, and have a productive research group thousands miles away from the place I was born and in a languate that is not my primary. I’m not a genius, no. I just have followed what God directs me every day of my life, and assumed the graces He gave me in Jesus (as described in the Words above).
There is nothing wrong in a scientist believing in God. This is not a contradiction. God created the materials, the living things, everything. And what I do for living is to try to understand the God’s logics in the nature, and how to use it to create new things to help our people, imitating God somehow. Of course God helps me in every single task, as I believe only He can show us the real paths and teach us the real truth behind everything. Without Him, I'm hopeless.
If you want to know what really is a Christian, read the Bible. It’s a fantastic reading that becomes alive and touches your memories, present and future, giving you guidance by the Holy Spirit. If you want to know if good and evil really exist, see the acts of Jesus when He came to earth and learn that we are not alone. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12).
You're welcome to ask me about my faith, and I will be happy to share all blessings I have received (the most important being the ethernal life) and my limited understanding of everything.
You’re welcome to visit the site: Catholics Come Home and learn more about the love of God. Or visit: University Covenat Church , a church I've been attending with my family in the past months and where God is constantly showing His grace. The picture to the left is in St. James Church in Davis, the Church I also often, as I believe God's reign is above any human-made church denominations.
God bless you and all yours,
In Christ,
